Covenant Dance Academy

Covenant Dance Academy is run by Covenant Christian School, Belrose. We desire to help students express their faith and creativity through dance, and develop and enjoy a variety of styles.

The Dance program at Covenant caters for curricular (Stage 5, Preliminary and HSC Dance), co-curricular (sport) and extra-curricular (after school) dance.

Covenant Dance Academy partners with parents in the nurture of their children by providing opportunities which allow students to express their faith, gifts, and creativity through dance. This is done in an encouraging, Christ-centred atmosphere. Whilst offering students a variety of the most popular dance styles, and incorporating modern music and movement, Covenant Dance Academy ultimately desires students to glorify God. This desire requires us at times to be deliberately counter-cultural. This outworking of this can be seen in the selection of age appropriate music, choreography and costuming.

Covenant Dance Academy classes are conveniently offered after school. Students may work towards performing in dance concerts, assemblies and school events, as well as competing in local eisteddfods. Dance classes are held in a variety of spaces around the school, with most in the air-conditioned School Hall or Performing Arts Space.

We warmly welcome students from other schools to attend Covenant Dance Academy classes.

Covenant Dance Academy currently offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Dance Fitness and Musical Theatre.
