University Application Process
  • UAC processes applications for courses offered at participating universities and higher education providers in NSW and the ACT (applications to the Australian Maritime College courses, including the Tasmania locations, apply through UAC).
  • All the information you’ll need to know about courses, universities, applying to a University in NSW & the ACT and more, can be found here
  • Applications for courses starting in 2019 are open at UAC now. Year 12 students should aim to complete their application to UAC by the 28 September 2018 to be eligible for early bird price. The absolute last date you can apply and still be considered for the first main round of offers is by the 19 November 2018 to be included in the first round of offers in December (processing fees of $200 will apply to all applications received after the 28 September).
  • You can choose up to FIVE preferences to list on your application. Preferences are the courses you would like to apply for. Listing five preferences maximises your chances of getting an offer.
  • When choosing your preferences, it’s a good idea to list the ones you really want first, the ones that are more realistic next, and a safe option. That way you’ll ensure that you get at least one offer at the end of each round.
  • ATAR results will be issued / available to Year 12 students in NSW and ACT on the 14 December 2018.
  • Once you’ve received your ATAR, you can still change you preferences after receiving your ATAR. You’ll have to make sure that you change your preferences by midnight on the 16 December 2018, after that you won’t be able to alter your application before the first round of December offers.
  • Once you’ve submitted your final preferences and the cut-off window has passed, offer notifications for the first round will be sent on the 20 December 2018.

CSSA Oztag Gala Day
Last Wednesday, Covenant took four teams to Werrington for the CSSA Oztag Gala Day which saw 46 teams competing from 14 schools across NSW. It was a cold start to the day, but as the weather warmed up, so did our teams. For many of our students it was their first time playing together, but they did very well to compete against a number of schools for whom this would be their main sport! Our Junior Girls just missed out on the semis and had a blistering second game where they won 14-0. Our Senior Boys are a well-oiled machine and had a narrow loss in their semi-final, a game which really could have been a grand final match up. All students tried their best and put in some great performances throughout what was a very tiring day, with teams playing up to six games! Thanks to Mrs Carnell, Mr Cochrane, Miss Kane and Mr Monin for coaching and accompanying our teams.

Rugby Union
Congratulations to Liam Adams, Max Gander and Ben Watkins who were a part of the Forest Rugby Union U16B team that took out the Grand Final at Rat Park on the weekend. They were behind at half time, but staged a great come back to win 29-22. Well done boys!
