On Friday November 23, Yr 6 travelled to Freshwater Beach to take part in a surf awareness program run by Surf Lifesaving.
It was sunny but very windy. So the usual program was adapted a bit to suit the conditions – and everyone still had a great time learning and participating
in the activities.
We learnt about rips, waves, flags and signs, marine stingers, surf safety. And we participated in Beach Soccer, Flag Races and Relays, Tube Rescues
It was a very worthwhile, fun and interesting time at the beach.
