Introducing the new logo for Covenant Christian School
Date Posted: 30-May-2017
In 2018 our Covenant community will celebrate 40 years of Christian education. Since the very beginning God has used His school to grow many children into
Christian maturity and we have much to be thankful for.
Our 40th anniversary presents us with a very valuable opportunity to take a fresh look at our school branding, including our school logo. Designed in the
1970's, our school logo, while richly symbolising our Christian distinctiveness, is a complicated design that is difficult to reproduce across multiple
mediums and is also now looking a little dated. In addition to this, we also currently make use of a second logo - the CCS shield/crest, which is primarily
used on uniforms and does not symbolise anything about our Christian nature at all. The aim is to simplify things and replace both of these logos with
a single, fresh new contemporary design that well encapsulates our identity as a school.
With the approval of the School Board, a working group has been exploring options for new branding and the design of a new school logo. Several new
designs have been created, reviewed and refined through a process of research, elaboration and consultation with Board, Association members, students
and staff. We are excited to now present the final logo.
The new logo will start to appear in Term 4 of 2017. Over the summer school holidays, signage and the website will be updated. New uniform items will have
the new logo. Existing uniform items, with the CCS crest, will continue to be worn for several years during the change over.
