So what is the story about...
The King is married to his beloved wife, but she betrays him. In his anger the king has her beheaded. He vows he will never again let a woman take advantage of him and announces he will marry a new wife each day and have her executed the following morning. After many weddings, Sheherazade, who has always loved the King, volunteers to marry him and bring an end to the deaths. After her wedding, she tells him a tale of adventure and daring, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, and the King is enthralled. When it is time for her execution, Sheherazade has not finished her tale, so the King allows her to live one more day in order to finish the tale. Each day there is a new tale and each day there is a stay of execution, for 1001 nights. Finally Sheherazade runs out of stories and there is only one left, the tale of her love for the King, to which he must write the ending.
