The stream of grandparents and grandfriends started early and continued. This is a special day for many Junior School families as we celebrate and honour
our extended families. Scroll down for photos and videos.
The morning started in the School Hall with some fun merit awards for grandparents. Awards went to those with the newest and oldest grandchild and the
most grandchildren. Both the Junior and Year 5 Bands performed. Students and grandparents debated ‘Being old is better than being young’ (Ninja Nomads
were: Schouten & Mead. Cheeky Kids were Sophia & Noah.)
Gran Kohlhoff brought to life the story of the road to Emmaus where Jesus walks with two disciples after he has risen but they do not recognise him.
Junior School students sang a new song by Colin Buchanan, written for Covenant, called "God has showered His kindness on us" while dance students performed.
Preschool did an item before our grandfriends headed to the Performing Arts Space for morning tea and to see the art display by students. After morning
tea there was the opportunity to visit classrooms or be part of some activities like Kindergarten's Chicken Dance, Year 1's Heel and Toe Polka, Year
2 the Nutbush, Year 3's Science Exploration, Year 4's Ode to Gran and Gramps, Year 5's Trivia and Year 6's iPad Fun.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this a special day. Enjoy the photos and videos.
